We admit this can be a fairly broadly defined category and that’s fine. Basically we’d like to concentrate here on past influences on piano performance rather than current, in keeping with the larger subject of Piano History.
Beyond that, anyone is fair game regardless of period, style, technique, extent of influence or other criteria. The idea here is to explore the vast expanse of talent that has contributed in one way or another to the world of piano performance and, by extension, to the world of pianos.
